PART I LIGHT AND DARKNESS

The last of us call it the blitz. In this very moment the old earth dies and turned into our new home… the dead earth

Cities were turned to ash in an instant and the world was plunged into darkness. The once-great metropolises reduced to ash and rubble. Panic and chaos erupted as people tried to flee the devastation.

In the aftermath of the war, the few surviving humans were left to pick up the pieces and try to rebuild a world that had been torn apart.

Nothing is as it once was. Chaos is our new order. Violence is our constant companion. The air is filled with death. For too long we have seen our peace and prosperity as eternal. Today, the law of the stronger prevails. People, or what is left of them, fight for their survival.

My name is Tenebris and I am the survivor of the atomic holocaust that destroyed our world. I am speaking to you now from the underground bomb shelter that has been my home for the past several weeks. Along with my little sister, we have managed to survive in this dark and cramped space, waiting for the outside world to become safe again.

But as each day passes, I can’t help but wonder if that day will ever come. The sound of bombs falling and the ground shaking is a constant reminder of the devastation that has befallen us. The air is thick with the smell of death and the darkness seems to close in on us from all sides.

We are not alone in this shelter. There are others here with us, all of us struggling to survive. But my little sister and I are the only ones who are related. The bond between us is the only thing that keeps us going in this desperate time.

My sister’s name is Hope and I have made it my mission to protect her at all costs. I will do whatever it takes to ensure her survival, even if it means facing unimaginable dangers.

But as the days turn into weeks, and the weeks turn into months, I can’t help but wonder how much longer we can hold on. The supplies are running low and eventually we will have to leave the shelter and venture out into the unknown. I don’t know what the future holds for us, but I do know that as long as Hope and I have each other, we will find a way to survive.
